About Us

Creative Problems Require Creative Solutions

The film industry can seem like a big, terrifying place. It's hard to feel secure or prepared without having the right people in your corner. We have been on all sides of film making and are here to help you navigate your creative challenges with confidence.

Our philosophy is relatively simple: be specific and work hard.

For our acting students we use the best methods from Meisner and Adler to create a technique that makes you confident about your work. We focus on building skills that allow you to face the different challenges every character, script and audition bring. Creating consistent work flow allows our students of all ages to be prepared no matter the material.

For our creative coaching clients we encourage the same level of attention to detail, but on an even bigger scale. We work through goal setting, creative habits, self accountability, networking, and consistency. Some of our talented artists use their time for project/script notes and to bounce ideas, some use it to talk about the next steps in their careers, but all walk away with a creative fire lit under them.

How We Got Here

Having spent a lot of time on set, in audition rooms, and in acting classes, I found a disconnect. The work flow that other acting schools offered were focused solely on immediate results, without offering the long term skills to be prepared for the ultimate goal: acting on set. So many "acclaimed" teachers used parroting techniques that could get the performance one time, but didn't help you grow or truly develop the work.  I personally spent 5 years focused on one character, and while I played others during that time, I was still developing and working on that same character every episode, every week, every day, every scene. It took a different set of skills and techniques to work like that.  It was this realization that showed me there was so much more to what I had been offered at the "best acting schools in Los Angeles" that made me want to private coach myself.

I started A Kell Studios to help actors be their absolute best. To feel confident doing auditions, to feel prepared for set life, and to have the technique for a true career.

If you are ready to be specific and work hard... I am too.

What Our Clients Say

Kirby Bliss Blanton_0630_E.jpg

Kirby Bliss Blanton, Project X, Green Inferno, Death Wish

I have been working with Ayla for years now and am lucky enough to call her a good friend as well. I honestly don't ever like doing my self tapes without her. She effortlessly elevates my scene work as an actor which gives me such confidence In my tapes.

I have booked great roles while working with Ayla and I don't think I would have without her. The fact that we laugh and can have fun with the sometimes difficult circumstances is just the cherry on top. I got to her for life and career advice as well and she never lets me down.
